The Favourites: November

Long time, no see - I'm actually going to stop apologising for not blogging, because it's just going to get super repetitive! I think I'm just going to have to accept that there is going to be some more ad hoc blogging for now, so you'll just have to keep up to date with my life on social media (links to my twitter, Facebook page and instagram are to your right!)...

Anyway, we're in the last month of 2016 (how?!), so it was about time I did a final monthly favourites post to update you all on what I've been loving recently, before the big round up of the year comes along! November has been filled with dancing, a lot of work and a few treats to myself along the way, but here's a quick summary of what's been floating my boat recently...

These have been on my wish list for a LONG time thanks to a couple of mentions on other blogs and YouTube... It was about time I treated myself to a new pair of false lashes as I'm competing within dance a lot more, plus at £4, these really are a massive bargain! They're gorgeously fluttery and are super simple to apply, plus they look great on any type of dance floor.

These were actually sent to me by the lovely Ashleigh at Alex Silver PR, but my word did I fall in love with these and I'd 100% spend my own money on them. I love the fact that they're a slight variation on the standard 'french' finish as they're a lot softer and subtler. This meant I could wear them for my dance competition, but then not feel like I wanted to come straight off as I felt comfortable wearing them throughout the week, too!

I was contacted about a month ago to have a look at this foundation guide and see what I thought of it, and whilst I was under no obligation to share it with you guys, I knew I had to! It's pretty comprehensive and I think it will be super useful to use as a reference when I'm thinking of which one to go for next... a great discovery for November!

So this was featured in my Birthday Wish List post and I was lucky enough to get it from my parents... I have to admit I'm in love with it! Wearing this on it's own, underneath another shade of lipstick (favourite is MAC Twig) or with a bit of lip balm over the top all look amazing! I love a product I can use so much and this certainly lives up to that, plus the lasting power is great as well - I may have to go and have a look at their other colours, too!

New Look, as always, have managed to make me have a slight splurge (thankfully I got a couple of vouchers for my Birthday!)... I've been eying up a couple of these bits for a fair while now, so I knew that I'd wear them - luckily a lot of them were in the Black Friday discount, so I could get a whole lot more for my money, so of course a couple of other things got added to my basket! No doubt, there will be an outfit post or two featuring these bits and bobs in the next couple of months as we've got colder weather now...

I'm A Celebrity
My word, was this year's bunch amazing or what? I loved Joel, so was slightly disappointed that he didn't win, however I appreciated having this to watch so that I could switch off from work for an hour or so in the evening. There's also something about Ant and Dec that just makes me feel 10 times happier!

As I mentioned above, I've been doing a lot of dancing, especially now that I'm on the exec of the club. For those that don't know, I danced Latin and Ballroom for 8 years before A levels got in the way, so I was super pleased I could pick it up again at university... this year I've got into it even more, with more layers of fake tan than ever, a lot of playing with make up and a huge amount of glitter!
I also ended up dancing in Warwick University's Charity "Strictly Come Dancing" event (we did a Viennese Waltz to Chim Chim Cheree from Mary Poppins), which was also so much fun, especially as I did it with my friend Ferdi - we ended up raising a great amount for Warwick Marrow, a subsidiary of the Anthony Nolan Trust.

What have you been loving recently? It's safe to say I can't wait for this week to be over so I can relax and get a little more festive... Have a great week!
Becky xx
