The Current Favourites: September

September was an exciting month all round for me - I changed my hair, went to LFW, did work experience at House of Fraser, baked a lot and even managed to read several books! With these came a whole host of new products to try, some of which have worked their way into my favourite products of the moment, so as well as some old classics, this month's favourites are a round up of celebrating all of the new shiny things!

Beauty wise, I haven't had much of a super full on routine due to the fact I needed to be up and out the house quickly most mornings (work experience and working a paid job at the weekend meant few lie ins for me!). When I decided to ditch the liquid foundation for the Glo Minerals Pressed Base Powder* I won back in May (my first impressions post is here!), I realised how much I liked the look, feel and speed of it - for the moment at least, I prefer just having to layer this over the top of my concealer rather than having to worry about blending everything in. Two other products I've loved this month thanks to their speedy application is the Rosie for Autograph Eyeshadow Stick in Movie Star Crush and Benefit's Gimme Brow in Medium - both look amazing, give me the definition where I need but take about 30 seconds each to apply! I've also banged on about them A LOT on here, so just search for them in the bar at the top if you want to find out more...

Having chopped my hair off, I definitely needed a little help to get the voluminous and textured look I was going for. My hairdresser recommended getting my hands on the Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray, which I'm so grateful for because I love it. Not only does it mean I can have an intensional bed-head look within seconds, a spritz of this can spruce up second/third day hair amazingly!

As soon as I saw the campaign for the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid* I knew I wanted to get my hands on it, and not just because Gigi Hadid fronts it! I was lucky enough to pick this up when I went to look around the designer showrooms at London Fashion Week and boy am I glad - the shade Orange Shot is the perfect orange red (which I'm not normally a fan of!) and is easy to take from day to night... I just dab a little on for the day and apply it normally for a bold night time look!

I managed to nab this gorgeous Vila Lace Dress* from House of Fraser whilst I was working there, and fortunately it's still online for you guys to snap up. I wore it to LFW and I just adore the neckline, plus who doesn't love a good bit of eyelash lace? Keeping on the theme of fashion week, my favourite show from fashion month so far has to be the New York Marc Jacobs SS17 show - the hair, the colours, just everything was stunning *heart eyed emoji*!

The Great British Bake Off is one of my all time favourite TV shows, so I, like most other people, am really sad to see it move to Channel 4 as of next year. Despite that, we've still got a few weeks left of the current series left, and I think this year has to be one of my favourite series yet! What's more, with the bake off comes my own personal baking journey, so of course that's certainly one of my September favourites - to see all of my "Bake Off" series posts, click here!

Another series I've been watching is Victoria - not only do I love a good historically based drama, the costumes, set and acting is all extremely impressive. I think that Jenna Coleman is a wonderful actor (I really liked her in Doctor Who!), and I may have a slight crush on who plays Albert, so that's probably making it even more easy on the eye...

I've read a fair few books this summer (I've certainly missed it, but every day life at Uni certainly seems to eat away at any time I would actually read!), including The Revenant and The Girl on The Train. Both of these have been made into films, and whilst I was very disappointed by The Revenant film (sorry, Leo!) I can't wait to see the latter - it comes out on the big screen soon, so I'm hoping that, time permitted, I'll be able to catch it whilst it's in cinemas.

What have been your favourite things during September? I can't wait for Autumn to properly start - it's certainly my favourite season, although I have loved having a prolonged summer! Have a great week...

*I have someone how managed to bag myself a few freebies from LFW and HOF samples, so whilst I didn't pay for these myself, as always opinions are 100% my own.
