The Haul: Make Up Bag Additions

Now that I'm earning again, the easier it is to spend money - I'm back to my shopaholic tendencies, for sure! This time round, the haul was all things beauty related... a couple of trips to Boots later and I've got a few new bits and bobs, one of which featured in my wish list post here back in May! I have to admit I'm pretty impressed with all of my new additions to my make up bag, so here's a quick round up of what I've picked up...

This was a definite choice for me - possibly the easiest item to pick up from my wish list (other than the new Gimme Brow from Benefit - which I reviewed here) and I'm not disappointed. The colour is beautiful, the wear is comfortable but durable and it's great to just chuck in your handbag. My only issue is the applicator makes it a little on the difficult side to put on, so a steady hand and a bit of patience is key - it definitely works a lot better if you wear a lip liner underneath!
Having discovered these are available from Tesco online (linked above) these may well become my ideal false lashes as I can just add them to my food shopping order! Whilst I haven't tried these yet, they seem perfect - not too 'in your face' and just the right amount of fluttery/messiness to them... The other lashes I've bought and have actually tried (and loved!) are the Fleur for Eyelure 'Fleur Loves' lashes!
Having needed some false nails for the Sports Ball at the end of the year, I couldn't decide which ones to get! Having remembered I'd heard good things about these, I decided to get them - whilst the glue dries frustratingly quickly to you need a pin at hand to keep ensuring there's a hole in the top of the bottle, I have to say I'm pretty impressed! I love the fact that you can still use your own nail varnish and they don't distort the colour of it at all, and whilst they only lasted three days, for the value of the pack and the amount of wears you can get out of it (3-4 times!) I don't think they're too bad...
I tried a small travel version of this throughout my year at uni and it not only helped remove any remaining make up once I'd cleansed, it also makes for a good toner in the morning if I'm too lazy to wash my face before moisturising! I have been sensitive to a few Micellar waters, but this is perfect for me and I just HAD to buy the big bottle of it, plus I persuaded my friend to at the same time...

My beloved Nanshy Sponge which I reviewed here has definitely reached the end of it's life - it looks very worse for wear and so it was time to get a replacement. I've thought a lot about getting the Real Techniques Miracle Sponge, but when I saw these sponges from Primark for only £1.50 I thought I'd give them a try and see what they were like. Again, I haven't used these yet, but I'll definitely keep you updated - they seem to feel how my Nanshy one did, so I'm hopeful!

Have you got any of these items or bought anything beauty related recently - I'm always down for some inspiration! Have a great rest of the week...
Becky xx
