The Favourites: April 2016

I have no idea how long it's been since my last favourites post, but it feels like an age! I have a mixture of rediscoveries mixed with a few new bits and pieces that I picked up last month that all hit the spot for me in April...

BEAUTY
Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer - I wanted to try and find an alternative to my beloved Laura Mercier Camouflage Concealer palette, and whilst I still end up using the peach side of the higher end product with this to make the shade more wearable/effective for my under eyes, it's a great formula. It's long wearing, doesn't crease and is brilliant coverage - it certainly lives up to the love I have for the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation, too!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12hr Blush in Captivating - My love for this has grown again. I picked this up in the USA last summer (I can't believe it's almost been a year since we went!) and it's perfect for these spring/summery days. The perfect peach colour that somehow seems to define my cheeks at the same time so it's perfect for when I have 5 minutes to do my make up, too! Find out what else I picked up in the US this way...

MAC Lipstick in Creme in your Coffee - I'm pretty sure every time I get a MAC lipstick it ends up being all I wear for a good month! This is just so versatile and the colour is perfect for this time of year - it's not too dark to look too 'wintry'! For a more in depth review, visit this post here.

FASHION
New Look Culotte Jumpsuit - featured in my outfit post here (which you guys seem to love, so thank you!), I've been trying to push my comfort zone when it comes to fashion and this jumpsuit was ideal for that. I love it!

Shorts - It's sunny enough for shorts and this year, to my amazement, I've felt pretty confident about getting my legs out, which is great as I don't have to suffer this heat all covered up... These embroidered cobalt blue beauties from H&M are on my wish list at the minute, though, so I may need to pick them up!

LIFESTYLE
Kallo Rice Cakes - honestly these are my new favourite snack and are a great alternative to crisps... this healthy eating thing is a lot easier when I have less guilt-inducing things lying around but still give me my savoury fix! These are also great paired with Peanut butter or Houmous - they're super versatile!

The Body Coach - how I discovered this I don't know (probably through procrastination on Facebook!) but the recipes on Joe's blog as well as some of his HIIT workouts and tips on YouTube have really kept me motivated to do exercise and eat better since being back at Uni.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes - Of course this has to feature. I know I've already reviewed this here but it wouldn't be fair to not include it. A brilliant read that made me feel slightly less guilty for reading "chick-lit" because of the way it's written as well as the vast number of though-provoking topics it covers!

What have your favourite things been from April? I'm so much happier now that summer is coming - I can't wait for exams to be over! I hope you have a good rest of your week...
