Festive Favourites 2015

Now that I'm home from Uni for Christmas, I have started even more festive - what better way to spread that Christmas spirit than writing about my favourite things to do at this time of year?! From eating, drinking, visiting places, watching films and doing various festive activities, there's a massive round up of christmassy things that I love to do...

Visit Christmas markets
Ever since I visited the Bruges Christmas market 2 years ago with my Mum and our friends, I've been a little hooked on them! This year I went to the Birmingham Christmas market with some of my flat mates and it was pretty damn amazing... although I couldn't eat any of the Currywurst as I was still being veggie then (find out why here).

Drink Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate and Baileys
Kind of connected to the above, but these 3 things are my favourite for this time of year! Throw in a Snowball nearer the time and a Poinsettia cocktail on Christmas day and I think I've got my perfect 5 festive drinks... typical how 4 out of the 5 are alcoholic!
Wear a lot of metallic/glittery/shiny things
As you could probably tell from my Party Season Wish List, I'm definitely feeling the metallics this year! But even if my clothes aren't metallic, I seem to have worn a lot of tinsel as an accessory in the past week or so - I can't seem to get enough of all the shiny things!

Watch Christmassy films
Elf, Arthur Christmas and Love Actually have to be some of my favourites but you can always rely on the fact that there's bound to be something on the TV, especially at the weekends! I'd also recommend Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street, Mrs Miracle and Polar Express if you feel like you need a good Christmas film!

Put up the tree
I did this yesterday (I forced the family to wait until I was back) and I probably did get a little too excited for my own good! We always put it up together singing along to Christmas songs and I love seeing all of our decorations, especially as we have started collecting them as momentos from our trips away - we had 4 from our trip to the U.S. in the summer! This is probably the favourite of my favourites and I'm not exactly sure why... but I love it!

Let me know how you like to get into the Christmas spirit and what your favourite things to do this time of year are! I hope you have a great week and don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY HERE!
