June Favourites

June has flown by so quickly, I don't even know where it's gone - I guess that's what exams do to you! I haven't really been wearing a lot of make up this month - in fact I've spent most of my time make up free and donning baggy clothing - but there are a few different things that should be part of this posts for many different reasons!
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette*
I've been opting for more pink-toned eyeshadows recently, however I decided I wanted a bronze/gold smokey eye a couple of times and this was the palette that I reached for. I fall in love with this more after every use; whilst the Urban Decay palettes are expensive, the shadows are so creamy and pigmented that it makes it worth it!

Lulu Guiness Tangle Teezer
I never really got the hype of the Tangle Teezers until I got this about a month ago; it's perfect for travelling because of it's size, it's got a Lulu Guiness pattern (one of my favourite bag designers!)... It really does tame my tresses and make them a lot more manageable. I won't be going anywhere this summer without it!

Soap and Glory Hand Food Mini
Good ol' british weather has made my skin dry and this stuff just hydrates it so well. Pictured is a fresh travel-sized tube to take away with me as I don't think I could live without it at the moment; a definite winner for me!

New Look Lilac and Gold Earrings
I promise this will be the last time I mention the following two items for a while; they've been getting a lot of air time, I know - both in my New Look Wishlist and my Summer Haul! These earrings are the perfect addition to my collection as I was lacking some more statement gold-toned earrings and these haven't been out of my ears since... I'm slowly getting into gold and these are the perfect way to start introducing it into your accessories!

New Look Tan T-Bar Sandals
Sun's out, sandals out! These are the perfect pair of sandals as they're so comfy, only £7.99 and go with almost everything - I've worn them to casual things and then paired them with a smart dress; they've been whipped out a fair few times since I bought them a couple of weeks back!

Game of Thrones
I'm hooked. That's pretty much all I can say! It honestly is great and has been excellent procrastination material during exams; I finished season 2 yesterday and I can't wait to start the next one! There's just something about this that makes it different any other 'fantasy' series (I'm not normally a fan) and the cast and production is amazing - if you fancy starting a new series over the summer and haven't seen this I'd urge you to watch GoT.

I may be biased as I have worked here for the past 2 years or so, but this shop has been one of my favourites to distract myself from exams and ensured that I didn't over-revise. Meeting the customers, learning a great deal and admiring all of the lovely goodies on an almost weekly basis has been a welcome distraction, plus it's meant I've got a few more dollars for the U.S. on Thursday! If you're in to candles (in fact it was where the True Being Event in my May Post was held), jewellery or pretty, shabby-chic type things, this is definitely something to check out!

What have been your favourite things during June? I know this is a little early, but I'm trying to be a good blogger and schedule bits and bobs whilst I'm away! Have a lovely week...

*This was a gift from my friends. I did not pay for this myself, but all opinions are my own*

  1. Some great faves here, I love the naked palette!

  2. Love the sandals! They are so perfect for this warmer weather. I haven't managed to get mine out too much this year, it always seems to rain when I remember! I haven't stayed up to date with Game of Thrones but I really want to get caught up soon! x
