April favourites

Having not done a favourites post for March, I feel like I need to give you the low down on a few of my current favourite things! Mainly beauty and fashion (including 2 pairs of shoes!), this month has been filled with a lot of new discoveries and purchases - I can't seem to stop spending money at the minute - so hopefully at least I can locate all of the links to bits and bobs this time round...

As mentioned in my Spring post (here if you're interested!), I'm trying to move away from brown and neutral eyeshadow to a more pink look as the weather improves and I've been reaching for the L'oreal La Palette Nude in Rose time and time again. Whilst some of the shades aren't the most pigmented, they are easily buildable and you can easily get a look that incorporates purple/pink tones without looking like you've got a black eye!
For the shadows, I've found that the MakeUp Revolution Pro Eyeshadow brushes (pictured are E103 and E101) work really well, especially the latter which I use for blending shadow along my lash line, applying gel liner or packing on a teeny amount of a darker colour!
It seems that I've had a thing for Eye-related beauty products this month - my final beauty favourite is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Liner in Nude as it can hide a multitude of sins (from tiredness, to weeping related redness!). It's a formula I can't fault - it's longevity is great and for the price tag, it's certainly a necessity in my make up bag...
A few more fashion bits than usual as I've started updating/adding to my clothing stash for the season. My shoe addiction has grown stronger (proof of this here) and so it was only right to feature 2 pairs of shoes this month. Completely the opposite of each other, however both my Nike 'Flex Experience' Trainers and my Carvela Kurt Geiger 'Lisbeth' heels (these were actually featured in my Shoe Wishlist, too) were bargains. I managed to snatch my trainers in a Nike Factory shop near Exeter in February and I've loved them ever since - the sport-chic trend is finally growing on me, I must admit. The heels, whilst for a ball I'm going to/prom in the coming months, are rarely not being worn or admired at as I just love them - they're exactly what I imagined to wear with my Grey Chiffon Maxi Dress that I got from Little Mistress!
Having wanted a black fedora for the entirety of the Autumn, I thought this two tone contrast fedora from Missguided would be ideal to curb my need and be a little more appropriate for the spring time. I also have been reaching for my Next Crocodile clutch due it's perfect size - it's almost like a Mary Poppins bag - and the fact it goes with almost any outfit!
As you can probably tell, I've missed something out from the above photos and that's my Pomax glass pot (I think it's meant to be a tea light holder) that I've been using for my smaller eyeshadow brushes. I've been using larger glass jars from Gisela Graham, however my smaller make up brushes were getting lost in the large space so I'd been looking for something suitable; when these arrived in the shop that I work in, I just had to buy one!
My final favourite isn't photographed - and that's because it's more of a generic thing of films; I love a good film, in fact I think they're the best way for me to unwind, and that's exactly what I've been using them for. From Rom-Com (The Notebook and Crazy, Stupid, Love to name a couple) to Action, I just love getting lost in a fictional story for a couple of hours!

Let me know what you've been loving this month - I cannot believe it's May tomorrow! Have a lovely bank holiday weekend if you're here in the UK...
Becky xx
