The Five Minute Face

I haven't done a hard core beauty post in AGES and I've missed rambling about my make up products in detail so what better way to get back into things than with the fastest full face of make up I can do?

Multiple times a week I fall back to sleep after my alarm goes off or I just don't feel like getting out of bed. Whilst lying in bed is lovely, the ultimate panic to get ready that follows isn't as great... This is where my go-to beauty products that require minimal time step in. A focus on the eyes, minimal on the lips and skimping out on foundation... how else to go from dishevelled to acceptable in under 5 minutes?

First things first, I apply my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to any blemishes and blend it out with the MakeUp Revolution F102 Concealer Brush (which was included in my february favourites here), or if that's too much effort/it doesn't seem to be working, the warmth of my fingers are pretty good at blending. If I have any red spots, I often try to cover with this product too, although more often than not, I need to then go in with my Nanshy 4-in-1 Make Up Blending Sponge (review here) to blend it out and stop it from looking cakey. My under eye area always appreciates a spot of the Nip + Fab Complexion CC Eye in Light just to brighten the face and give it a bit of a lift, as well as helping to cover the dark areas I seem to have no matter how long I've slept.
For my eyes I often use a dramatic look to distract from everything else and the smokier the better! A swipe of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bluffing across the lid, blended out with the MakeUp Revolution E103 Eyeshadow Blending Brush with a hint of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Matte Taupe in the crease always does the trick. Remember you can go in with more of the crease colour to increase the intensity or you can blend it out for the look you want (I love to use the MakeUp Revolution E102 Eyeshadow Contour Brush for this!). I then add a bit of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Bronze to my upper lash line and in my water line for a bit of definition (can you tell I love the Rimmel eye products?) - I often smudge the upper lash line using the MakeUp Revolution E101 Eyeshadow Brush to give an even smokier eye look and to save time as it then doesn't matter how neat you are with it! A quick swipe of the Benefit Gimme Brow to set my brows in place, making sure to remove any excess before hand and starting at the arch for a more natural look... as well as a lick of mascara (I'm currently loving the much hyped about Benefit Rollerlash Mascara, as there's no need for a lash curler) and the eyes are done...

Adding a bit of colour back into my face I take the blush shade from the e.l.f cool bronzer compact onto my e.l.f. blush brush and place it onto the apples of my cheeks and blend back towards my ear following my cheek bone - it's one of those great shades that almost does some contouring for you! Then to finish it all off, one of my most coveted lip products that I've loved since I got it for Christmas, the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in 01, is slathered all over my lips to add a subtle, pink tone.

It may seem a lot, but fling these on in any old fashion (okay, preferably similar to how they're supposed to be used!) then this bundle of goodies will get you from feeling zero to hero in no time. I'm always on the look out for hassle free, time saving products - if you have any suggestions just let me know! Have a great weekend...
