The Best of the Drugstore

If, like me, you love a good bargain, then this post is just for you. I've done a round up of my favourite 6 products that can be bought at drugstore prices (I must confess not all of them are available by walking into Boots or Superdrug), however these are products that certainly have a much higher quality than you'd expect for their price tag!

MUA Undress Me Too Palette

My first ever eyeshadow palette is just about hanging in there - you may have seen me write about this in this post here, in which even back in September it looked pretty battered. I used to sweep a colour from this over my eyes almost everyday until I started branching out and experimenting a little more with my shadow; however, this is still one of my absolute favourites, and whilst naturally my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette has no rival, the quality and pigmentation of this palette for £4 is seriously amazing! A must have for newbies, someone looking for an excellent Naked 2 dupe or an affordable nude palette.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in 'Bronze'

More often than not I'm too lazy to do a black flicked liner - that's why I used it in my Five Minute Make Up Tutorial here - but still feel I need a little definition; I've also started wearing my glasses a lot more (I was told off pretty badly by the optician last time I went!) so have found that black is just too harsh behind lenses. Having seen people rave about the formula of these, I picked one up last summer and haven't looked back since. A supposed dupe for the MAC eyeliner in 'Teddy', this has just the right amount of sparkle to brighten the eyes, but still does a great job at defining and finishing off a look. A total bargain, with a great long wearing formula - what more could you want?!

Eyeslipsface Cool Bronzer Compact

Oh boy, having scoured the internet I can't seem to find this on the e.l.f website! Typical. However, I'm sure you've seen me ramble on enough about this to know that I absolutely love it. A blush, bronzer and highlight in one (although the highlight I do avoid) is the perfect size for travelling and I use it on a daily basis - the blush is the perfect subtle pink whilst the bronzer shades aren't too warm and orange, and therefore are great for contouring. It's left me a little heartbroken that I can't find it though - what will I do when I run out?!

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in 'East End Snob'

Another drugstore product with a lot of hype, this is one of my most recommended products purely because of it's amazing versatility. Not only does it make lipstick stay on much longer than without it, it makes the lips look fuller (which is why it's an apparent dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk) and is a really beautiful shade. I can wear it on it's own, under a sheer lipgloss, under a bright pink and even sometimes under a Red to tone it down a bit - and it only costs £3.99!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Fair'

It blends, it covers, it brightens. What more could you ask for? Despite loving my Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer compact a lot recently, this just gets the job done in a much faster time! I can use this under my eyes for some coverage and then layer a brightening concealer over the top, and as long I ensure I don't put too much on it doesn't look at all cakey or patchy. Whilst I think sometimes I could do with a less warm toned colour (which is a shame as this is the lightest one they do!), this really is my go to concealer and will forever be a repurchased item!

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hour Foundation in 'Ivory'

Having picked this up thinking that Anna from Viviannadoesmakeup had raved about this - although actually it was the nude version (the one with the white lid) - this is blooming marvellous. As the name suggests, this lasts for a very long time - although I'm not sure I'd wear my foundation for 25 hours - and doesn't look cakey. The coverage is similar to that of the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation that I've repurchased and used up 3 times in the past as it is one of my favourites; however this just pinches it to the post as, unlike WMU, it doesn't contain any glitter particles and so a slightly less dewy look is definitely a plus!

I love a good bargain, and these are just a few of my most beloved items that seriously don't break the bank. Be it that you're just starting out with make up or that you're on a tight budget, these products are certainly some that I'd look into buying! Recommend any of your favourites down below, too so I can add them to my list! Have a lovely weekend...
