Stepping Into Spring

As the sun has finally made an appearance today, I thought I would collate together all of the products I will (hopefully) be reaching for over the next couple of months as we, fingers crossed, move into warmer weather... A lot of my outfits and routines change, not just in terms of make up but also in terms of skin and body care; however I'm not going into skin care, as because my skin has changed so much over the last year or so, I'm not too sure where I stand with it! There is a lot of pastel coming, just to warn you...

It may even be warm enough to whip out my pasty milk bottles that I call legs, so of course a bit of fake tan won't go amiss. My go to body scrub of late is the Soap and Glory "Scrub of Your Life"(as I mentioned in my last post here, I just love S&G's body bits!) to get rid of all the dead skin cells; not only will this make your legs look much nicer, it will make applying your tan much easier and far less likely to go patchy. It's a win-win really. The Rimmel Instant Tan in Medium Matte was my fake tan of choice last year, and I have a feeling not much is going to change this year; it's just easy to apply, very difficult to put on streakily and doesn't smell too bad! My only niggle? It's not water-resistant, although I think they do have one formula as part of their range that is.

Bold, floral, pastel; my 3 top tips for spring accessories. It's the time where I can start having a bit more of a play with colours and I'm all over that. It's time to whip out the Primark flower crown, my favourite ASOS cat eye sunnies and my new favourite hair bands that I managed to pick up in the Miss Selfridge sale for £2 (although I know that lots of places sell these - I'd seriously recommend getting some, as they don't break your hair as much as normal hair bands, plus they look prettier!).

Make Up

Again, as I want to be ever more creative with colour, what better way to branch into the rosy tones with a pastel toned palette? My new L'oreal La Palette Nude will no doubt be even more loved over the following months. I mean just look at it - purple isn't necessarily a colour that I wear enough, but having brown eyes, I know it complements them well and I adore using just a slight hint of them in a look.
I also know that I'll be reaching for my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation (which is unfortunately quickly depleting) a little more, due to the brightening and dewy effect it gives, whilst maintaining a rather high coverage and a long lasting finish. In my opinion, it's a definite must have for spring! My other obsession from last year that probably won't change is the Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya, purely because of it's easy to wear, moisturising formula that can easily build to a bright opaque peach as well as a tint!

I am honestly super excited for a bit more of the sunny weather that is just around the corner - spring is seriously my favourite time of year! Let me know what you don't think you could live without for this coming season... have a fabulous weekend!
