The Oscars 2015: Best Dressed

Another blast to the past is coming, in that I haven't written a post about an event for a long time... In fact, I think it was this time last year and my post on the Brit Awards! However, this morning I woke up to a tonne of pictures circulating on social media with red carpet looks, and I fell in love with pretty much all of them.

My Best Dressed list includes...
Cate Blanchett in John Galliano for Maison Margiela with Tiffany & Co necklace

Dakota Johnson in Yves Saint Laurent

Emma Stone in Elie Saab

Gwyneth Paltrow in Ralph and Russo
Suki Waterhouse in Burberry
Jennifer Aniston in Versace

Jennifer Lopez in Elie Saab

Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford

Rosamund Pike in Givenchy

Sienna Miller in Oscar de la Renta
Jamie Chung in Yanina Couture

So many people looked stunning, and I don't think there were too many badly dressed people yesterday, which makes a change; even Lady Gaga, despite the red rubber gloves, looked great (her dress for her tribute to the Sound of Music was lovely, too!)... there are too many to choose from to pick a favourite, although my bias is leaning towards Emma Stone (I love her, okay?!) and her nod towards vintage-inspired clothing!

I think the Oscar winners were a little predictable, but all the same very well deserved (Eddie Redmayne got Best Actor, as I said he should); however I'm glad they did, particularly for Julianne Moore and Patricia Arquette. Both of them made brilliant acceptance speeches, bringing up important issues that should be addressed; Alzheimer's disease and women's pay correspondingly - both of which are worth a watch if you can find them on YouTube.

Who was your best dressed of the evening? Have a lovely week,
Becky xx
