The Nude Lip: My New Holy Trinity

So, I'm back to two posts this week after last week's exciting four, but in no way is it boring! Today's post is all about my newly found HG products for nude lips, to pair with a smokey eye or to add to a more minimal look; all three of these are now some of my favourite to wear and I've found myself grabbing for them on multiple occasions in the past couple of weeks.

From top to bottom: MAC Creme Cup, NYX Creme brûlée, Maybelline Color Drama in Nude Perfection

1) NYX butter gloss in Creme Brûlée
Finally I have a NYX product in my make up bag, and what better way to start than with an AH-MA-ZING lipgloss! Slightly sticky, but incredibly pigmented and highly blendable, this gem is definitely worth the hype. A gorgeous nude pink, the ideal "your lips but better" shade for me, and a yummy scented one at that... I just wish NYX was more readily available here in the UK, but when it's not out of stock you can get it on their UK site (link is above!), unless you're lucky enough to have your own US personal shopper to buy it for you! (thanks again, Sarah.)

2) MAC Creme Cup
Having written my MAC wish list a couple of weeks ago, and with the ever increasing temptation as people commented back, I had to get my hands on something, so this is what I opted for. Not my usual pink, Creme Cup is a bit more "pale" in that it's a softer pink; but I think that's what I love about it so much - it's different. I haven't had many occasions to wear this to yet, although when I have, I haven't been disappointed. A long wearing formula for such a creamy and moisturising lip product, I have to admit I kind of get what it's all about now - bring on the next MAC purchase!

3) Number three was a toss up between my beloved Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter in 01 or the Maybelline Color Drama in Nude Perfection. However, whilst that may be cheating by mentioning both, I'm going to have to choose Maybelline as the top dog for this one; not only because it's probably suitable for more people's budgets, it's also different to the other two. It's matte, a more brown nude and lasts a long time... basically it's a winner and is definitely worth the £4.99! I need to pick up some different shades of these, especially as they're on offer - I see a boots haul on the horizon...

I've been getting more into trying new shades of nude, who knew there could be so many?! Let me know what your Holy Grail is when it comes to something a little more subtle! See you on Thursday
