#CountdownToChristmas|The Christmas Tag

Hello and welcome to the first of quite a few Christmassy posts thanks to the #CountdownToChristmas Blog Series that I'm taking part in, created by Meg and Emily! Of course, there may be a few other posts here and there - especially as this month is my one year blog birthday (how crazy is that?!) and so you may see a giveaway going on around here as well... but for now let's get this party started with The Christmas Tag!

1. What’s your favourite holiday movie?

There are sooo many that I love to pieces, but I would have to say that Christmas isn't Christmas without watching Love, Actually (in fact I watched it last night!). Some people I know despise it, but to me it's a film that really gets me in the Christmassy spirit... If I were to choose a more child suitable one, I'd have to say Arthur Christmas; hilarious and great for the whole family (even my grumpy teenage brother doesn't mind it!)

2. What are your favourite Christmas colours?

Anything that sparkles... does that count? If not I'd have to obviously go with Red and Green, but also I love navy blue for the winter time as well.

3. Do you like to stay in your PJs or dress up for Christmas?
More often than not we dress up because it's a family occasion, although when it's just the 4 of us (my grandparents live about 5 hours away so we often go up there for Boxing Day), it's a little more flexible! Every year though I try to have a Christmas dress, although I haven't found one for this year yet!

4. If you could only buy one person a present this year who would it be?
Can I cheat and say a joint present for my parents? Like most, I know I don't appreciate my parents enough on an everyday basis so at Christmas time I try to make it as special for them as possible! (cheesy I know, but I gotta be honest...)

5. Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?

Who opens their presents on Christmas Eve?! Definitely Christmas Morning, although I think this year we're having a family day on the 14th so we'll probably open a few then as well!

6. Have you ever built a Ginger Bread House?

Yes! Whilst the making is fun, I always find they're a bit of a let down when it comes to eating them... I'd rather just eat gingerbread men!

7. What do you like to do during your Christmas holidays?

Chill, watch films, eat, meet up with friends (we have been ice skating the past two Christmas') and do the other normal bog standard things... oh and eat some more! I also think I will be doing a lot of work this Christmas as well, but I'll just have to take that with a pinch of salt.

8. Any Christmas Wishes?

I wish for the same thing every year on my birthday and at Christmas, but that would be telling and then it wouldn't come true! This year I'd just like the opportunity to relax and chill as this will be my last 'proper' Christmas at home, before I go off to uni next year!

9. Favourite Christmas smell?

That's a tough one, but I think I've got to go with the smell in the shop I work with that we've been burning since the first of November! It's a candle by a brand called True Grace and it's their red christmas smell... a mixture orange and cinnamon! You can get it here.

10. Favourite Christmas meal or treat?

Yule log will always have a special place in my heart, although it can get quite rich and a bit too much, so I'm going to go with mince pies with brandy butter because you can never have too many!

Ta da, doing this post has made me feel all festive... I can't wait for the next post will be up on Friday! Have a lovely week,
Becky xx

P.S note a change in schedule for this month - Every Monday and Friday will be a #CountdowntoChristmas post and then you have to keep your eyes peeled for any extras!
