Spend or Save: Eyeshadow

Hello! Sorry I've been a little dormant recently however it is all with good intentions... I'm planning some quite exciting and so have A) been a little busy and B) I think I'm going to change my schedule to post on a Tuesday and Friday...

I'm going to start a new series called 'Save or Spend' and each time I'll do a different category: I'll tell you my favourite high end and drugstore product that I'd recommend each time and decide if I would overall 'save' and go for the drugstore option or 'spend'. So this week I thought I'd start with a nice and easy one... Eyeshadow!

Spend - Too Faced Natural Eyes palette
Okay, I know what you're thinking... why are you including this when you only got it a week ago (see what else I got in my Sephora haul here), but hear me out. This stuff is incredible. Super silky, pigmented and just overall gorgeous. The shades are beautiful and can be used in a variety of combinations to create different looks; from a smokey eye to a pretty pink toned look, this is honestly one of my favourite make up products of the moment! The little leaflet inside is also really useful if you're a bit of an eyeshadow noob, but I've already started venturing out into other looks and am loving the results... an ideal starter high end palette for anyone in my opinion!

Please excuse the battered look of this - it's certainly well loved!

Save - MUA Undress Me 2 palette
This was my first ever eyeshadow palette and is honestly one of my favourites! It doesn't crease, has great lasting power - I wore it for my prom without eyeshadow primer and was amazingly still there after many a dance - AND it only sets you back £4! It's said to be a dupe for the naked 2 palette, and although I can't know this exactly, the colours are super pigmented so I think this will tie me over until I decide that I want to spend the £37 on the Urban Decay beaut!

Overall, I have to admit I think the MUA palette is the winner on this one, mainly due to the quality of the shadows despite how inexpensive it is and the wide range of colours and shades; however if you feel like treating yourself (like I did!), then the Too Faced palette is definitely worth considering... I mean just look at the packaging!

Have a lovely rest of the week - see you on Friday!
Becky xx
