June Favourites

Hello and welcome to JULY?! Crazy at it seems, summer has been thrust upon us (and it's even hot in England, amazing!). What better way to end this week than to share with you my June Favourites...

Firstly, I was kindly given 2 make up products by a couple of girls that I babysit for as a "celebrating the end of exams" present, both of which I absolutely love! Having loved the Scandaleyes kohl liner in Bronze, I fancied trying out their eye shadow sticks and I was kindly given one in the shade 015 Trespassing Taupe, which is a lovely matt brown shade; it's a perfect colour to put in the crease and blends out really well as it's so creamy... the only bad thing is that on my first use, the actual pencil part broke, so before sharpening it, I just put the product straight onto my brush!

The other thing they kindly bought me was the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in 001 Honey, which is gorgeous deep pink/nude. First of all, it smells absoletly divine (think fresh mint) and is super hydrating; secondly it is most gorgeous colour and finally, it is so glossy, yet still has amazing staying power... It really does leave a "stain" of colour once the product seems to have worn off.

Next up is a product I've had for quite a while; I got the Nip + Fab CC Fix concealer pen in light in my first Love Me Beauty Box (find out all about it here). It's taken me a fairly long time for me to actually like it, but I love this for under eye circles (when I don't need as much coverage) and my red patches, particularly now it's getting hotter as it's so light weight and not cakey at all! It doesn't have the best coverage which is probably why it's taken me a while to adjust to it, but it's amazing at highlighting the face (think Kim Kardashian style but not as extreme!) and it blends really well, too!

The two ELF brushes I do not regret buying at all in my ELF cosmetics haul (see here) are the Powder brush and blush brush. The powder brush is perfect size for sweeping pressed powder all over the face, including under my eyes to set my foundation and because it's quite a sturdy brush, I find it's really good at applying the powder. The blush brush is even better as it's so soft and silky, yet the finish for blusher/highlighter is excellent and I really like the shape and size of it... I'm sure it could be used for much more than just blush!

Finally, my most recent product is one which I got from a blog sale over on Love and Liquor and it's something that I've been meaning to try for quite a while... The tarte amazonian Clay 12 hour foundation is such a lovely base product (hence why it featured in my summer beauty essentials post on monday!). It gives a really good coverage, I'd say medium/high, yet feels almost weightless on the skin and doesn't feel as though it's clogging my pores; all round winner in my eyes!

I hope you have a lovely weekend... be sure to enter my MAC eyeshadow giveaway here if you haven't already!
