Are they worth the hype?

Hello everyone... how amazing is it that I'm actually posting on a Monday?!

I've been thinking about doing this post for a while, but haven't really had enough products to do this for; I now think this is the perfect opportunity as I've got a few new products that have been surrounded by a lot of "hype" and advertising!

Tanya Burr Lipglosses
I adore these. There's no question about it: they're so pigmented, smell deliciously yummy (who doesn't love strawberry and cream flavoured things?) and have a great consistency. Although sometimes I find that they can be sticky, this is often because I've put too much on my lips which is easily solved by blotting some of the gloss off. The packaging is lovely, and I think there is a gloss for everyone in the range. I have "Picnic in the Park" and "Afternoon Tea", both of which were featured in my April favourites here.

Worth the hype? Yes.

Revlon Colorburst Balms
I've got both a balm stain, in Honey which featured in my June Favourites here, and the Matte balm version in Unapologetic. Both of them are gorgeous colours and have a heavenly mint scent. I find that as the nude one is a 'stain' it does last longer, but maybe that's also because it's not as bold? I also think the nude is more wearable, but I think the Unapologetic shade just patted into the lips gives a lovely pop of colour, too!

Worth the hype? Yes.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner
I wore this to school today for something a little bit different (cheeky bit of a make up mix up!) and boy did I get a load of compliments on it. I just find this does such a good job at making gel liner application super easy, and as I said in my review of it here, if like me you're a eyeliner noob, then this is for you. There is a lot of hype around this product, particularly as it's so new and I think that it's like Marmite: you either love it or hate it. If you want more info on this, then be sure to read my review I did last week!

Worth the hype? Depends on your current liner skills!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Foundation
Don't get me wrong, I love Ingrid (i.e. Miss Glamorazzi) and Estee (i.e Essiebutton) off of good ol' YouTube, but I'm not sure I agree with them when they say this is a seriously good foundation. Despite me putting this in both my Summer Beauty edit post here and my June Favourites, I don't think I prefer this to my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, as it just seem to stay on my skin for much longer than 4 hours before I'd have to touch up, despite me powdering it. It's pricey too for a foundation (£32.50 from QVC) and I don't think I'd repurchase... I'm just glad I got this from a blog sale so I'm not overly disappointed about spending a fortune on it.

Worth the hype? Not for me, but remember everyone's different!

Revlon Lip Butters
Last but not least is another recent purchase for me, but this is seriously a good'un: even more amazing is the fact it featured in my Summer Lovin' Tag post (click here!) last Friday although I've only had it for a couple of weeks. It's so moisturising, pigmented and buildable - even better, it seriously does feel a bit silky like butter! I have it in Juicy Papaya and boy oh boy is this going to be my go to for summer lip loving.

Worth the hype? HELL YEAH.

I hope you found this post useful if you're debating buying any of these: I know there's regularly new things on the market, and I for one am not willing to buy everything, so these types of posts are one of my favourites! Have a lovely rest of the week.
