Summer Beauty Essentials

Hello! Apologies for ANOTHER awful blogging week; I've been caught up with Uni open days galore...

Today, I thought I would share my summer beauty essentials with you, as despite the rain, it is starting to look a little more like summer here in the UK! Now don't be surprised that the majority of the products have already featured on here, but it is only because I love them that I'm giving them some more 'airtime'!

First things first are base products: primer, foundation and powder are key to any look, especiallwhen you don't want your make up to slide all over the place! Having read that the Maybelline Baby Skin Instan Pore Eraser (a bit of a mouthful!) is a good drugstore dupe for the Benefit Porefessional, I decided to try it... And I haven't been disappointed. It's great at keeping my make up in place, and although not that noticeably, it does actually reduce the size of your pores. A good, light weight foundation that contains SPF to prevent sun damage is perfect for the summer. I love my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, and more recently the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour foundation. And finally, every Beauty blogger's essential: the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. As you can tell this is well loved and I have most certainly got my money's worth from it!

Next up is a fake tan (my favourite at the moment is the Rimmel Instant Tan which you can read more about here). Now don't get me wrong, I think life is all about embracing your natural self, but if like me your skin tans in a variety of ways and tones, the best way to even up is certainly to fake it rather  than damage your skin!

I also love to use a toner just to refresh my skin more often in the summer months. Recently I've been loving the Liz Earle one (which was also featured in my May favourites here). It's a gorgeous refreshing toner that is super good at removing any excess make up, allowing your skin to de-clog well!

And finally, keeping on a similar theme, the Elf eye bright, which you would have seen if you read my Elf haul post is ideal at keeping your eye area refreshed, cool and does actually de-puff my eye area! What's more, I use this after I've blended my concealer out if it looks too dry or has set too quickly before I've blended it out properly.

I hope you have a lovely rest of the week!
Becky xx
