April favourites

I know I probably start every month the same, but how on earth is it already May?! (and exactly a week until my first exam - see my exam tips here!!)

This month I've bought a few new bits and pieces that I absolutely love... Plus there's a couple of things I've rediscovered!

Collection 2000 24 hour felt tip eyeliner in Black
I raved about the purple version of this when I first started a few months back and I was looking for a black liner that wouldn't break the bank. Having toyed with the L'oreal super liner, I decided to not try and reinvent the wheel, especially as Collection had an offer on at the time!

Tanya Burr lipglosses in Afternoon Tea and Picnic in the Park
These have had so much hype, and I've been soooo excited to try them, but I'm rubbish when it comes to deciding and wanted to see them in the flesh before I chose: which I could at the beginning of the month because Tan's collection is now in the majority of superdrug stores! I bought Afternoon Tea when the first were released, but was desperate to also get Picnic in the Park (and having dreamt about it for a good week and a half) I went back and got it, as well... What's more these taste and smell A-MAZ-ING!

Sensationail nail varnish in Heirloom Lilac - see my post here on how to make it last longer!
I've been totally into pastel nail varnishes lately (well, who hasn't?!) and this is just the perfect lilac! It lasted around 2 weeks on me, which is a miracle in itself: plus I actually managed to grow my nails to a decent length! All I'd say is try not to pick it off, because I have found where I do get bored and pick at it, my nails have got weaker.

Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo
Oh my word, is it possible to be in love with a shampoo?! Having run out of my trusty herbal essences I decided to try a different brand, because my hair really wasn't in very good condition (if you witnessed my rant on twitter a while back, I apologise now!)... But now wondrously it's so much healthier and easier to brush, plus it's super soft and far less tangled: although I'm a long way off where I want it to be so any hair mask recommendations would be appreciated!

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser
I've always been bad with body moisturiser; I always forget to put it on after I've got out the shower... I mean who wants to spend time between a shower and being in PJs feeling sticky?! Having seen the advert a million and one times for this, I decided to try it... And I wasn't let down! It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple, plus it's so much easier to use than a moisturiser - it's basically conditioner for your skin!

Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner Bronze 12
This eyeliner is a god send! It truly doesn't budge, even on the water line... With a hint of sparkle, this colour is super natural and when you're not in a situation where strong, bold liner is suitable  or you fancy a more toned down look, this is perfect for a little bit of definition!

The Notebook
Every now and then I remember my love for this film (it's ten years old this year!!), mainly because how emotional I get watching it and so I put it off and off... However I adore it, and if you haven't seen it (like most of my friends, it seems) you are truly missing out on a great film!

Perks of Being a Wallflower
This book. This film. What more can I say? Just read it. Just watch it. Great review I know, but if you've read TFIOS (movie's out next month asdghfghja!!), you'll love this: and if you haven't read either, why not?!

April has been a good month (although I'm broke as so many friends have had birthdays!!), and I'm pretty happy with the discoveries I found!

Have a lovely rest of the week, I hope you've had a great bank holiday!
