Winter Favourites

As it's nearly Christmas, I'd thought I would share 7 of my winter favourites/essentials. Here's my list, if I've missed anything I'd love to hear what else you think is necessary over the next few months...

1) Warm tights

I feel the cold so easily so winter isn't my favourite season for the weather! To keep warm I buy the Super Cosy tights from Primark which are fleece lined- they're amazingly cosy and only £3.50 per pair. My only issue is after a few washes they quickly become worn and bobbly.

2) A good selection of nail varnish

I've bought quite a few nail varnishes this year that remind me of autumnal colours. A few good colours are red (particularly burgundy), grey, dark green, purple and black! A favourite of mine is Barry M because it is so cheap, and I thought I'd give the matte and hi-shine ones a whirl: I absolutely love the gel-like ones in Watermelon and Plum, though I'm not so sure about the matte polish as I can't put a top coat over the top so they chip quite easily. I recommend buying a decent top coat such as Essie as it Barry M can easily chip if you buy a worse quality or don't use any top coat. Of course I've also got my glittery red top coat at the ready for Christmas time, too.
Barry M Hi-Shine in Plum is one of my favourite colours this winter, in fact I'm wearing it right now!

3) Winter dresses/skirts

Be it tartan, velvet or just a darker, more autumnal pattern, the dress and skirt selection is vast this season. I am going to post a few that I am loving/ have bought recently soon. I think a skirt or dress with boots, tights and a cardigan is a classic wintry look and looks good on anyone. As it is the party season as well, a few statement dresses this season are a must and we are certainly spoilt for choice!

4) Jumpers

Anything to keep me feeling cosy and warm is something I have to have and this year I have found so many jumpers I want to buy/ have bought. Primark always have amazing jumpers, but this year I think they have really stepped up there game because I have seen so many jumpers in there that I think are so similar to those at least double the price in other shops such as Topshop! Another good place to look is and New Look have a couple that are particularly lovely so have a look around and see what you can find!

I love this jumper from New Look which only costs £16 at the moment!

5) Food!

No surprise here, the main component of this is definitely chocolate, particularly this Cadbury's Creations Cookie Nut Crunch, by far the best one from the range! I'm also enjoying experimenting with cakes at the moment- especially Christmas themed cupcakes.
My favourite chocolate at the moment hands down has got to be this one, even this picture is making my mouth water!

6) Boots

A fashion statement and they keep my feet warm = ideal! Last year I managed to get these fabulous leather boots in the New Look sale, and this year I've been just as lucky to find these boots form Carvela Kurt Geiger, called Teddy, that were also in the sale. If you don't want to spend this much, there are so many places I've seen that have some lovely boots be it leather or faux. To see the Teddy boots, click here

7) Feel good items

Items such as candles, a good bath bomb or even just a magazine can help brighten the dull winter evenings. At the moment I'm loving these St. Eval and True Grace candles combined with various lush bath bombs for a lovely soak  in the bath.

This Christmas smell has got be so excited for Christmas now... bring on the holidays!

Have a good weekend and enjoy the start of the festive season,
Becky xx
P.S My favourite party dresses will be coming soon, and the debate on Christmas jumpers should be up by Tuesday!
